All about Humor in the 30's!

There was many different kinds of Humor in the 30's. Humor was really important because it got everyone's mind off of the sad depression.
One of the humor was cartoons. Here are some names of cartoons in the 30's, and what they were about:


Krazy Cat- This Cartoon is about War, and Romance.
Superman- The man of Steel who saves the whole nation.
Dick Tracy- Detective, and Mystery Soap Opera.
Buck Rogers- Buck and his friends have to battle the Mongol Empire.
Popeye- It is about the Depression, and how this man gets very strong when he eats Spinich.
Little Orphan Annie- It is about an econmic Collpse. 
Blondie- It is about a hard working wife, and a lazy husband.

Out of all of these Comics, I think that they are all very interetsing, and look like good comic strips!

Now, there was also another kind of Humor, it was stand up comedians. 
There was one very famous stand up comedian named Max Miller. He was famous in the 30's, 40's, and 50's.
Max Miller did many shows, and he was said to be the best of the best. He looked like this:

Max Miller was not only a great, and famous comedian, he was in many movies, and he wrote and sang songs! He was said to be well brought up. 
Miller's nick name was Cheeky Chappie. 
Max left school at age 12, and served in the first world war. 
In his most famous show, he let the Orchestra play his most famous song, Mary from the Diary.
As you can see, he was very famous, and everybody LOVED him!
